The place where
Welcome to the website of Mustangs Baseball Club (formerly Condell Park Baseball Club). We are situated in the South West of Sydney NSW Australia.
Mustangs Baseball members have been instrumental in forming at least 4 clubs that play and form part of the Bankstown Baseball Association. along with the original Indians Touring team.
REMEMBER:
"YOUR FUTURE STARTS HERE"
Your current level of ability does not determine how much we can help you, your desire to learn does!
We create a friendly, challenging environment that stimulates each player to want to perform better. You will emerge from our club being able to hit, run, field and throw better than you could before. Our objectives are to help every player finish each season with a sense of pride and personal achievement.
Rookies were made
In January 2010 Mustangs Baseball Club hosted the Diamond Dreams Academy at Boggabilla.
About 14 players from the club were invited to participate on the day which went for 10 hours with non stop training.
Every player from all the different age groups received personalised training from Craig and Brett Cant.
The professionalism from these coaches was exemplary and all players came away with a more positive outlook to their baseball.
With some of our club coaches looking on they were grateful for the learning they also acquired.
We at Mustangs will again be hosting this academy and next time it will be bigger and better than ever.
It is great to see some player training done in such a professional manner.
Well done guys
Mustangs looking to play in the SDJL Competition in 2010
Mustangs Baseball Club is looking to enter teams in the SDJL competition next season.
This gives our players the opportunity to play in a greater competition and still be representatives of our club. We, the club are excited about the development programme and the entering of it by our club. The competition against other teams from clubs and associations across Sydney will be a great benefit to the players. This season we started with a Rookie programme that has attracted interest from all our players with a great success and so the obvious step for the club is to pursue the attraction of entering into the SDJL competition. The club looks to enter teams in all age groups.
It is great to see that so many of our players have now indicated that they wish to represent the club in this development programme.
ETIQUETTE
I am astounded to need to explain this again. Baseball etiquette requires that when a team is ten runs ahead they will not steal bases. Further (and just as importantly) the team that is ten runs behind will not steal either. Surely it is not a surprise that when the team is extending the courtesy of not trying to humiliate the losing team by scoring as many runs as possible, they are not just inviting you to catch up.
Teams should not be insulting - players would be expected to advance on balls evading the catcher.
Failure to observe these courtesies inevitably lead to ill feeling.
